If the nation doesn't do something about its dependence of foreign oil soon there will be problems. Alternative energy is one of the best ways to go. The development of its technologies will stimulate the economy, create jobs and decrease greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere. Global warming will become a serious issue if we dont pursure alternative energy sources. North americal alone will have major problems such as winter flooding and heatwaves to truncate the issue. We weren't prepared in the 70s for the oil embargo, and now that this war is going on we're still not prepared.
